Introduction

This BrokerTech Ventures, LLC (“BTV” or “we”) Sweepstakes Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) applies to all BTV-sponsored sweepstakes, unless stated otherwise in the official rules of any particular sweepstakes, contest or giveaway (collectively, “Sweepstakes”). BTV respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Policy. This Policy describes: (a) the types of information we may collect or that you may provide by participating in BTV-sponsored Sweepstakes; and (b) our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. This Policy applies only to information we collect in connection with BTV-sponsored Sweepstakes. Our other ventures and our websites may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information on or through them. Further, the Policy does not apply to information that you provide to or is collected by any third party. As the Sweepstakes is being run via LinkedIn and X (f/k/a Twitter) (the “Platforms”), a third party may collect information from you in connection with your use of the applicable Platform. Further, if you use any social media widgets to post about the Sweepstakes or your participation in the Sweepstakes, that information will be visible to anyone permitted to view your social media accounts and used in accordance with these Platforms’ privacy policies. This Policy may change from time to time. Your continued participation in our Sweepstakes after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not participate in BTV-sponsored Sweepstakes. By participating in BTV-sponsored Sweepstakes, you agree to this Policy.

Children’s Privacy

Our Sweepstakes are not intended for users under the age of 18. No one under age 18 may participate in our Sweepstakes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 in connection with our Sweepstakes.  If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. Information You Provide to BTV

BTV collects information from and about participants in BTV-sponsored Sweepstakes directly from you when you provide it to us and interact with our Sweepstakes-related posts on the Platforms. When you participate in BTV-sponsored Sweepstakes, we may ask you provide information by which you may be personally identified, such as name, date of birth, social media handle, postal address, email address, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline (“personal information”).

How BTV Uses Your Information

BTV uses the information you provide, however collected, to administer the Sweepstakes, to communicate with you about the Sweepstakes, including winner selection and prize fulfillment, to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it, to help us verify your identity and that you are eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes, to prevent fraud, to comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and for any other purpose with your consent. We may keep your Sweepstakes-related personal information after completion of the Sweepstakes for business management and record-keeping purposes. We do not sell the personal information of participants in our Sweepstakes.

We may disclose aggregated information about Sweepstakes participants without restriction. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Policy:

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You can review and change your personal information by sending us a message on BTV’s accounts on the Platforms or by contacting us using the information set forth below (Contact Information) to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. If you request we delete your personal information, you will no longer be able to participate in the Sweepstakes. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incomplete.

Your State Privacy Rights

State consumer privacy laws may provide their residents with additional rights regarding certain entities’ use of their personal information.

With respect to entities subject to the following states’ consumer privacy laws, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia provide (now or in the future) their state residents with rights to:

  • targeted advertising (excluding Iowa);
  • sales; or
  • profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (excluding Iowa and Utah).
• Either limit (opt-out of) or require consent to those entities processing sensitive personal data.

Please provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify that you are the same person we have collected personal information about or are an authorized representative of such person. We may deny a request if we determine we are not subject to the state law at issue. In addition, we may deny a request to change information if we cannot verify your identity or if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect, and we may retain copies of your personal information to the extent required by applicable law. Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, the transmission of information is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted in connection with the Sweepstakes. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy or security measures undertaken in connection with the Sweepstakes.
